Removing seat
« on: May 04, 2015, 09:21:05 PM »

Hi, motorcycle noob here; a screw has worked loose holding my seat on my 2012 Zero DS; can someone tell me how I can get the seat off so I can tighten this screw? It's the one to the front of the seat. Regular seat that came with the bike when I bought it. Thanks.

My recollection from a couple of years ago is that you remove the two bolts (one at each side of the frame rails) at the rear of the seat. They fasten the seat through the side frame rails.  Remove the bolts and then pull the seat off by slightly pulling to the rear and lifting up.  There is no bolt at the front, it is just a sliding catch that holds the front of the seat in place.  Have fun putting the bolts back through the frame rails and into the threaded secured seat nuts.   ::)
