So I got my FX
« on: April 19, 2015, 10:13:36 PM »

Put about 60 miles on it so far and love it.  It is going to take some time to get used to figuring out my range but so far it has been about what I expected.  Doing 65 on the highway was a bit crazy...  I was wearing a MX helmet with visor and the wind was insane!  I would try to turn my neck to look in my mirrors and the wind would try to rip my head off.  The range was poor at those speeds as I lost about 10% in 2 miles and the FX does not make tucking easy.  What can I do to help with wind resistance on the FX?  And sorry but I can tell you that streamliners are NOT for me so not that!

One thing that I have found about the bike is I can't tell how fast I am going generally speaking doing 40 feels like 25 and doing 50 feels like doing 30...although doing 65 feels like 100.  I need to GPS my bike because I just can't believe the spedo right now.  Along the same lines I am not used to the acceleration.  I will be at a stop and go WOT and be at 50 faster than I can believe, "that can be right..." is my general assessment.

Where are you located. I am in Milpitas CA and I have a dual sport windscreen that I am thinking of selling as I am now using the bike mostly in the dirt. It is the one that Zero advertise for $189. I would let it go for $100 if interested. I will help on he freeway. I would definitely get a different helmet as well

Does the DS windscreen fit on the FX?  I would buy it if it does but I didn't see it listed for the FX.

Have you seen a noticeable difference in
range / comfort? If, not, any range difference
to speak of?
Thanks

The MRA speed screen fits the 2014-15 FX well. I got this one on Ebay for $65.

To be honest, did not pay attention to the range. I am sure there is a positive impact but did not quantify it. My right wrist is more impactful on the range[emoji3]
