Are there Zero S demo rides yet?
« on: June 18, 2009, 12:00:17 AM »

Hey, I was wondering if anybody had the chance to demo ride the Zero S yet.  It looks like they have a rep fairly close to me in Baltimore,MD but I am thinking that a demo ride for the S wont be available until they actually start shipping them...

I email them for a test ride about once a month using the demo ride link on the Zero site. They called me about 4 months ago I think but there was not a Chicago area rep at the time. They may be ignoring me now :D but I did not get a response from my request last week or last month.

Let me know if you get a test ride. I assume you are right though, probably no demo rides until dealers and reps get them. www.50cycles.com got theirs today. I believe they are in the UK.

TJ Aguirre, the rep in Newport Beach, CA, was supposed to get his S last Wednesday or Thursday, but he sent me an email saying that there was "a delay in a production part".   He was going to give me a demo ride last weekend.  Instead, he apparently went over and picked up Jay Leno's bike and said he had it available if I wanted to see it, but that no demo rides would be allowed...But TJ seemed to think he would receive his bike this week, and would be ready to provide demo rides.

Haha, ohh ok, I will try to use the thing on their website in a few weeks.  I hope by then I will hear some reviews from owners.  Does anybody know if they require you to have a motorcycle license to test ride this?

I grew up riding dirt bikes and am just getting the financial freedom to look at motorcycles, this thing came out just in time to grab my attention.  :)  .  Being an electric vehicle enthusiast justifies the additional cost over gas for me...

You are going to need a motorcycle license to demo the Zero S. Zeros Insurance Company requires it. If you want to ride my street legal zero X I live in Oceanside Ca. my number is 760-815-4000
