That is a very nice chopper conversion.  I like what the owner did with the battery pack.  Unfortunately, he won't be cruising very far with only one 2.8 kWh module.   :(

Yes, this would sell.  Will sell?  Congrats to Bruno Forcella of Sinecycles on an elegant chopper using Zero Motorcycles cutting edge powertrain tech.

That is a seriously nice piece of work!
Really clean, nice lines, everything kept tidy.

Just a shame the battery is so limited both in range and power.

I *hate* cruisers but THAT IS NICE. I don't think I've seen such a drool-worthy mechanism since Honda laid out a disassembled RC211V engine. Me 'at's off, guv'nor!

Unfortunately, he won't be cruising very far with only one 2.8 kWh module.   :(
That's not too different from the custom Harleys with the 0.8 gallon peanut tanks. I never understood the point of those either.

Edit: And kudos to Zero for selling him the parts.

Just out of curiosity, what is zero charging for a basic setup? Anyone?

I could guess

2500 per battery
1500 motor
1500 electrics to accompany

And I'm sure some change on top

As I recall I put about $8800 total into the Zero Powertrain that I used to convert my trike to an e-trike, but that included two battery modules. However, as I understand it now, Zero will no longer sell the Powertrains to individuals, only OEM's. But I also have heard that dealers like Hollywood Electrics can get the Powertrain components to re-sell, they just can't come factory direct anymore.

A dealer quoted "The motors can range from about $1100 to $1300.  And the Controllers range from about $1000 to $1200.
We are not an exclusive source, any dealer can get these parts from Zero".
I wouldn't say who it was in the case its wrong or a no-no to mention but it isn't an issue if any dealer can get the parts from Zero.

Its cool that the guy built that bike but it looks like a Razor electric toy chopper to me. Less squared edges would look cooler. Even showing some of the electronics would be less toy like. Its his $5,000 though so if he likes it I won't complain.
