The J1772 socket is one thing, at least the socket is somewhat rare and unusual, the Y-splitter is $250 and that's just three SB120 (?) sockets which go for ~$5!  As I was saying their replacement parts have struck me as surprisingly inexpensive but some of the accessories are another matter.  Maybe I'm just bitter because I lost my Y-cable...   ):

If you look at the ID of your bike when you connect it with the bluetooth app, it really looks like a production order number.
So a good way to estimate sales volumes would ask people here to tell us when they bought their bike, and the bluetooth id

Mine : Zero 2013 S, mid 2013, BT nr : 02968

Those are probably the last digits of your VIN.
The VIN is always a good way to track production numbers.

Thought the VIN is often not a straight-up sequential number.  My FX ends 30197, bought October '13, though it was produced at least a month earlier and waited on batteries for a while.  I've always wondered whether I was number 97 or 197.  There can't be all that many '13 FXes out there.  Unfortunately not 30,197!
