Mission Motorcycles goes Electric and delays production
« on: September 10, 2014, 08:48:24 PM »

It looks like Mission Motorcycles has had an internal conflict regarding which direction they want to go and has split into two companies.  One of which, "Mission Electric" will produce electric motorcycles and the other company will manufacture and R&D everything else as a consultant and supplier to established vehicle manufacturers.  This reorganization means that potential customers drooling for an RS will have to wait at least another year before being able to buy the bike (please don't hold your breath).  The Mission Motorcycles saga continues and more can be read here:  http://www.autoblog.com/2014/09/10/mission-electric-delays-motorcycles-plans-automotive/

I might add that these various names, Mission Motors, Mission Motorcycles (the same name as the retail motorcycle shop that sold my Zero) and Mission Electric are getting kind of confusing to me, especially as Mission Motorcycles will not be producing motorcycles, while Mission Electric will.  Weird.   ???

Actually, it is the opposite. Mission Motors and Mission Motorcycles have been a split company for quite some time. Now the two activities have been brought again under one roof, Mission Electric.
As for the new delay re the Mission R and RS, are we really surprised?
