I got both bikes updated hope I don't get mixed up!

My 2012DS got a new firmware for the MBB. It is connected by the OBDII plug.

The Sevcon got a new firmware (x.dld) and new "settings"  (x.dcf).

The dealer had a PC program/script (eq update.bat) that runs through all stages.

When all was programmed the SinCos setting was monitored - It will display a graph that shows how the setting is and your dealer can adjust the angle.

I had a very slight pulsing feeling on my 2010 on trailing throttle which turned out to be wear on the throttle potentiometer - might be a red herring just a thought

Found the problem. front tire over inflated, dealer filled the tire to 32 PSI dropped it down to 20 PSI no more issues.

Thanks for the help all

That is an odd solution.   ???  The factory recommendation for the 2012 "S" is 32 psi for the front tire and that is what I used on my bike (and 35 psi in the rear tire) for as long as I had it. The only real issue that I had with that recommendation is that the ride was harsh over small bumps in the road. I never noticed any pulsing issues, the handling was fine and it looks like the front tire should last about 15K miles (my daughter has the bike now).  My thought is that your pulsing was caused by the front tire being unbalanced.  Perhaps the balancing weight flew off and your dealer noticed the marks on the rim where the weight used to be and replaced it.   :o

In any case, congratulations on solving your problem.  Enjoy your ride.   :)
