Seems the 2014 models may get some better tyres!

Zero Choose ContiEscape For The DS Electric
Article Date: 18/10/2013

ContiEscape Zero DS Electric It has been announced that the ContiEscape will be fitted as Original Equipment to the new Zero DS, an electric motorcycle concept based in the USA.
After Brammo chose the ContiSportAttack 2 as their OE fitment for the Empulse electro-sport motorcycle, Zero is the second player in this niche market that could one day be the next big thing to announce it has partnered with the manufacturer.
The ContiEscape will allow the Zero DS to show off its full potential both as a motorcycle and a concept, providing it with the ultimate tyre for a range of road and weather conditions.
With its unique off-road oriented tread pattern it also provides great traction on loose ground. It is a real all round tyre, and also offers extended mileage.
It is testament to the quality of the Continental motorcycle product that we have now seen two emerging leaders of this niche market take the decision to partner with Continental as their OE tyre supplier.

Conti doesn't make radials in S sizes. How about a tyre you can feel warming up and gripping even on wet? I got Michelin Pilot Street Radials on mine and they are like from different world compared to original bias ply affairs.

Nice. I think those will be my next tires for the DS, then. Certainly a little mileage bump can't hurt.

If you take a close look to the speedo and headlight mount you will see these are different for 2014! I wonder if they are  still using the Koso brand for the speedo

Dunno Doc, I've heard that the speedo and the headlight were being changed for 2014 (they are not the best fit together on the 2012 for sure), but I'm probably wrong.
