New harness is in & after a (very) short test ride it seems to be fixed!

There's a couple of other things to finish up today & I'll be back on the road  ;D

Gotta love working in a tropical environment, I think the tech was especially impressed with my "garage"

Do you have to keep looking over your shoulder to make sure the vegetation isn't creeping up on you?  ;D

My click issue is fixed, my throttle responds & we found out that the BMS on one of my batteries had failed, so I'll have a new battery soon ( I think it's been failed this whole time, I'm using the same amount of juice to get to work as I used to use).

It's good to be riding again!

TargeT, what was the cause of your clicking?  I had the key and rear sprocket replaced, but now it sounds like the sound is coming from the motor.

TargeT, what was the cause of your clicking?  I had the key and rear sprocket replaced, but now it sounds like the sound is coming from the motor.

They key issue is on the motor itself (you could call it an "out put shaft" ), there is a piece of metal that is supose to slide into a keyway, mine was an "early" 2013 & had he "short" key, there is a set screw that holds this key in place, but if that gets loose (my set screw was "gone" by the time the tech saw it) it will rattle all over the place.

The fix for the click was a new, longer key (piece of metal that slides into the keyway) and loctight on the set screw.

For the Zero motor on my trike conversion project I bought a 1" long key at an industrial hardware store and cut it to exactly fit the length of the slot in the shaft, just to be sure it would not give me any trouble when the project is done. I didn't receive a key with the motor but I'm still waiting for the sprocket. Maybe there will be a key with it. If there is I'll compare the length with the one I cut shorter.
