2000 W vs 1500 W Motors | How does this affect percieved power?

Maybe a technical person can help me understand this.  I am technical but don't know much about electronics.  I intend this forum to concentrate more on us end users than the geniuses building the bikes.  There are a lot of good sites out there for that.

2000W is 33% more Watts than 1500, does this mean you will get 33% more torque at the motors shaft?  How much of a role does the battery’s play in this equation? 

I may find some FAQ that answers my question before anyone answers this.  If so I will post it up.

a difficult question to answer simply, as there are many factors, but yes in most cases a more powerfull motor will give more torque. In other cases this power rating is related to speed, if you increas a motors maximum speed (usually by adding batteries to increase the voltage) you will also increase the maximum power, but the torque remains constant. Hope this helps, but if you have specifics about the motors in question i could probably give you a better answer.
