WiFi Watt Meter?
« on: May 17, 2012, 02:09:09 AM »

With my 2012 S ZF6 coming in a week or so, I'd like to monitor my consumption from day one.
- What is the preferred meter people use? (only saw Kill-a-watt in a forum search)
- Are there internet capable meters available so I can monitor remotely? ie, defunct Google Power
TIA!

I use a Kill-a-watt (P4300? something like that)

Yes, you can buy an wifi power meter. It will be expensive - figure $100 minimum.

Lots of bad reviews, but it seems the latest firmware fixes some of the issues.

I am using a P4480 Kill A Watt Electricity Usage Monitor with Electronic Graphic Timer.

I just ordered an Ecobee Smartplug. (You need to choose "smart plug" from the drop down). You need to have Ecobee smart thermostat for it to work though.
