Comparing ergonomics of different bikes.

The DS is listed here. Note you can indicate your height which changes the angles as well. It also lists seat ht.

This is great, I can now compare with my SV650S (with highrise clipons +2" back 2" similar to naked SV650)  to Zero DS and S
looks like i wont be able to reach the ground standing 165cm (5'5") 54kg (119 lb)

I have requested adding 2012 S and DS and sent high res photos.

Yes, at 5'7" I have to check seat hts. too. My 2011 Zero S manual lists the seat ht. at 35.8 inches, which couldn't be right. You do sink a bit in the saddle and it is fairly narrow.... but I can flatfoot the bike and I'm 5'7"! It's like the bike was built for me. It's the same with my Ninja 650r which claims a seat ht. of 31.7 inches about the same as the SV650, so you just have to sit on the bike. I bet you can ride the Zero S if you can ride the SV650.

2011 S is 32.8, 30.8 with the corbin low seat. 35.8 sounds like the DS.

Yes, that's right. My manual is for both the S and DS and I see now there are two spec. sheets. I have the S so it is a 32.8" standard seat. It must settle down in the seat though cause like I say I can flat foot it and my feet seem to touch the ground almost identical to the Ninja 650 with a 31.7" seat. I tried sitting on a Versys 650 a couple weeks ago with a seat ht. of 33.3" and I could barely get my leg over the seat, then barely touch the ground. It was too high...much more than the supposed half inch difference between the Versys and the Zero S suggests. I guess the amount of give in the seat, shape of the seat (especially the width), ht. of the back end, angle when on the kick stand, bike weight, and rider confidence, may account for the differences both real and perceived...provided they actually have the right measurents.

I think the soft suspension of the "S" helps lower the seat at least an inch or more.  My inseam is 30" and I also can place the soles of both of my feet on the ground at a stop, so I haven't felt the need to buy the accessory low seat.

Seat width has a big impact on whether or not you can flat foot a bike and IIRC the Zero has a very narrow seat so you should be able to flat foot a taller Zero than most ordinary bikes?
