Hi there,
First post here as a result of doing research on the street-legal Zero MX. Many thanks for the information already provided.
I'm based in Texas and there are no Zero dealers here. Using Zero's locator, the closest option is Grad Prix Motorsports in Denver. I was very excited to see the CO incentives for alternative fuel vehicles, and have a few questions as a result...
1. Clicking the link to the colorado.gov site, it appears that the only requirement is that the bike should be titled and registered in CO. What documentation did you have to provide to receive the tax credit? Residence in CO? Anything more than an address?
2. Did you pay full price and then receive a credit on your annual income tax? Do you pay state income tax in CO? Or was the credit applied at the time of purchase?
3. Assuming that you purchased at GPM, is there anyone in particular you'd recommend to facilitate the transaction?
I really appreciate any info or replies. Looking forward to increasing awareness of these cool machines in Texas.
Take care and have fun riding!
