My pilot friend just sent me a link to a company that is developing an electric motor powered Cessna 172 private plane. He commented that he wouldn't want to fly it but here it is:

Frankly, I think their conversion is really cool and I hope it works and sells. A bit pricey though, like all things aeronautical. I wonder how much hassle they will receive from the FAA getting the plane approved for sale to the public?
