Surprise!
Why people persist in giving Buell money is beyond me.

With Buell, nothing ever seems to change since H-D gave the business the boot. Until then it was fun while it lasted.

You have to ask yourself, with all of the bad news going around the electric motorcycle industry lately, would you want to invest your money into an EV business? Especially, when it seems as if they can't get a loan from a bank or other traditional lending agency. The best Zero, LiveWire (and any other similar firms still standing) can do is to hunker down and cut expenses as much as possible until the market gets better - maybe in 2035?  :(

Erik retired a couple of years ago. Even when the company was formed, he was just one of three partners and concentrated on the technical side, NOT the business side. This isn't on him.

But one wonders how Damon stays in business as they have yet to ship ANYTHING. At least Fuell was selling a pretty decent pedal-assist bicycle while they were developing the Fllow.

When I made my comment above, I was not thinking about Buell the engineer, but of the company name that keeps popping up again and again.

Richard have you thinned down your signature?  I think you have a Royal Enfield single.  Or had.  Royal Enfield the Indian company now has bought a piece of Stark maybe 12 to 20% if I recall correctly.  And hasn't Zero given up a portion of it's stock to another firm about the time they moved production off shore?

I am not riding my motorcycles anymore because I passed out one time while driving my car. When my doctor heard about that he wrote a letter asking the DMV to withdraw my driver's license - over my strenuous objections, I might add. (He said that he didn't know why I passed out and didn't want the liability should it ever happen again.) So I am slowly selling off my motorcycles, but it is really hard for me to do. I sold my Royal Enfield to a friend last year, but still have my Zero, Yamaha and KTM. I am now getting around on a class 3 electric moped that doesn't require DMV registration or a license to ride.

Id challenge that.  You passed out,  we don't know why.  well it could be non medical as well.
maybe you worked for 3days straight,  maybe you ate something or sat wrong and a nerve pinched.  there could be 1001 different things that can cause that as a one time thing and you are medically fine.

we were onloading nitrogen once, the truck pumped too hard and popped a tank relief... a few people passed out in a room about 200 feet away, the ambulance was called, all kinds of tests.  turns out it was a i guess you could call it nitrogen surge,  a cloud of it wafted thru, they got a wiff, passed out, and fortunately it passed and they were fine, and of course there are NO SYMPTONG NO LINGERING fingers pointing to it  !!

Are they going to lose their license because although it is suspect, there is not conclusive evidence that is what did it?  what if they pass out again?   that's horse crap.,  id sue that doctor.

Huff a whippet, same thing happens,  a minute later you are dine....  shrug.....

The fact that they did NOT find anything, and it has not happened again should be proof enough you are probably fine.
F that doctor going behind your back like that, ...  stuff like that can get people waiting for you in a parking lot  >:(

People don’t realize how hard it is to reach break-even in the automotive industry. Toyota had to withdraw from the US market after a first failed attempt and lost money for 17 straight years before they began their ascent as a world-beating automaker. If it weren’t for Japanese government backing, they wouldn’t have been able to make another attempt. And they weren’t even doing it with a new technology.

Electric motorcycle startups have to survive the hero’s journey that any new manufacturer has to go through in the face of skeptical buyers, energy density limitations, and almost entirely without the subsidies that electric car startups are eligible for. Even if you do everything right for a decade like Energica, all it takes is one mistake like trusting a sleazy investor and you’re done. I saw a similar thing happen with my old employer Scoot, and so many other talented companies.

The vaporware companies can survive longer than the real ones because they’re more connected to capital and they’re usually not afraid to get a little (or a lot) creative with their accounting. But once they’re out of suckers to fund their jet-setting lifestyles, it will be time for them to declare bankruptcy move onto the next buzzword.
