I expect that nobody at Ideanomics will have held a leadership position at Energica. I dunno what their corporate structure is but as someone who previously worked for a wholly owned subsidiary it's kinda like the CEO of Energica probably reported to someone at Ideanomics who will have been able to give direction on what they want out of the BU same as a board would but without all the having to agree on stuff with conflicting interests.

So Energica is probably insulated from a lot of the fallout bar their parent company being suddenly broke.

Quote from the report:
The Ideanomics investigation implicated its former chairman and CEO, Zheng Wu, the current CEO, Alfred Poor, and former chief financial officer, Federico Tovar. The SEC found that these individuals were involved in multiple fraudulent activities.
End of quote.

So it seems to be unrelated to people currently active in the company.

True, but apparently the news did nothing to help out Idanomics stock price and likely its ability to acquire new financing to potentially further Energica's manufacturing and design activities.

I just received an email from my long-time BMW/Energica dealer, Calmoto, located in Livermore, CA. They are offering three Energica's for sale at discounted prices. Two used 2023 models with under 1K miles on the clock for $20,900 and $19,950 and a new 2025 Energica Experia for $23,368, after a "promotional pricing" discount of $2,595.

The ad contained the following description of the Energica brand: Energica Motor Company, headquartered in historic Modena, Italy, is the sustainable subsidiary of CRP Group – a pioneer in the world of international motorsports and a hub of excellence known for its state-of-the-art technologies.
Over 45 years of innovation have made CRP Group one of the leading international players for cutting edge CNC Machining, Additive Manufacturing with advanced laser sintering materials Windform.
Our mission: Energica is pure innovation, design, and production in the context of 100% electric mobility. We are dedicated apostles of Change and Revolution in the world of Sustainability.
