So, is the brand pulling out of the US market, or at least, is that what we suspect will happen?

I have an FXS I was going to sell in the spring. Have values tanked?

Why would you even think this?   Just because two dealers in one area quit or were canceled?   The US is certainly the largest market for Zero.

I've owned 5 electric motos including two zeros. I dumped zero about 4 years ago due to J Juan crap brake rotor issues and even more due to their non support for my local dealer (who subsequently dropped zero for similar reasons). I have hoped this was just zero growing pains, and the DSRX is calling me. Burn me once, . . .

So is Zero leaving the US or just allowing franchises to close?

I don't think  'allowing' them to close would be quite the correct way to put it.  If the seller says im sick of not getting support, shove your bikes Im not selling them anymore, they really don't have much of a choice.  Either choice both end really in the same result no more bikes or service on them.  I feel bad for the people who bought them now are stuck with a product that has zero reasonable support on it anymore.

IMO, the DSR/x is a great bike.

I need to soon compare it again to my Experia now that I have the FW update on the Experia that should remove the countless bugs my bike had.

But the DSR/X was my favorite bike of my 11 for most of my rides, at least before the Experia FW update. IMO, the Zero DSR/X was the best bike Zero ever made.

I live in Chattanooga TN, bought mine in Nashville, they've dropped them, now 2 in Atlanta, gotten a few trade in offers out of curiosity, two local dealers here both offered $2500 for my 23' DSR 14.4, Knoxville dealer a few months back offered 8k, maybe I should have taken it.  I bought it to ride but admit I have a short attention span, wondering about parting it out.
Did they step on your shoe and spit in your face while they were at it? If it were out of warranty with a bad battery, it would maybe be a fair price. If there’s no market where you live, you can ship it somewhere. Even sight unseen and with shipping costs, someone will give you more than that.

It's a similar dealer story in the UK and Ireland.

My experience is that those who also deal in ICE will happily sell you a new Zero and service it, but ask for Warranty support... then the excuses come out.  Qualified tech on long term sick leave,  no space to hold the bike while Zero send the parts, Zero don't pay us enough.  Those are the ones I've heard.  Dealers also come and go frequently to the brand.

Pure play electric dealers is a different story, but I only know of 3 in the whole of the UK and there is really only one dealer that operate as I expect of a dealer.  All aspects dealt with, prompt and at a fair price.  They told me they operate on very thin margins.  ???
