CA current EV rebate program ends
« on: September 14, 2023, 07:21:55 PM »

My newspaper yesterday reported that California was shutting down their current EV rebate program and reestablishing it as one that is income-driven, with EV rebates directed only toward low income purchasers. There was no mention that the new EV rebate program would also apply to electric motorcycle purchases. It was also mentioned in the article that the program was overwhelmed with applications and had run out of money earlier this year.

leave it to commiefornia to play the wealth envy income game.
it should not matter how much money a person makes, if they get the vehicle they should get the rebate.
Afterall, if it IS about the environment as your lie proposes, then you should fully understand that All people pollute, not just poor people.
Another way to look at it is, you took MY FUCKING MONEY TO PAY THE GOD DAMNED SHIT...
now let me have a bit of it back.

isn't commiefornia getting ready to pay their restaurant workers 20 dollars an hour now as well?
what do you do for a living,  uhh, i flip burgers and the lizard lounge,  oh, wait, you make too much money, you don't qualify.

Them being out of money to pay the programs, THAT does not surprise me one bit either,  THAT seems to be an issue in pretty much every state that does these rebates.  They love to gloat about giving e bates, oh look at us we are so green !!! yet only fund the thing with half a million dollars or so, so that the first 50 people drain it.  Florida is just as bad.

BUT, I see an income opportunity.  Stoner bob buys the car on your behalf, gets the rebate, then flips the car to you and you two split the rebate.  Some back is better than none back.
