Experia Clean Mode
« on: September 04, 2023, 09:41:45 PM »

Anyone know what this is used for?  No mention of it in the manual.  Enable it before washing?  Or something to do with usage calculations?
MENU>>SETTINGS>>CLEAN MODE>> enabled or disabled

Thanks!

I looked at it once before and tried to see what it did... but it appears to be "disabled" on my Experia...I'm afraid I don't know what it does.. :o

A clean mode is normally for you to use to clean a touchscreen without activating any of the functions.  AFAIK, the Experia is NOT a touch screen, but probably still has the function there anyway for whatever reason. Perhaps they were thinking about using a touchscreen and decided against it but left the clean screen function there anyway. At least I never tried to touch anything on my Experia screen to see if it does anything. But my Harley DOES have a touch screen as well as a clean mode.

Many things in my house also have a "clean mode" such as my wireless thermostats that I can control from anywhere. Again, used to disable all functions so I can clean the screen without activating anything.

Well, Clean Mode Enabled might have meant that I didn't get electrocuted when I gave her her 1000 mile bath this afternoon hahaha.  Thanks, Don, sounds like a perfectly reasonable explanation.

I believe clean mode unlocks the cleaner dash screen to the left of the default.
It's a acquired taste, I don't like the small battery icon myself.

It's "disabled" on the Experia. Does absolutely nothing.

It turns on the windshield wipers for when you run the bike thru the car wash.

Funny story, we (meaning me) convinced one of the guys in the shop to run his EZgo thru the car wash.  It was one of those that had the side sprayers on it too.  Boy was he pissed.  I hid in the SDA towers for a while after that.

That's exactly what it does. Not a fan of it either.

Left of what default? How do you get to the screen you're talking about?  I have never seen it and I just now activated my "clean mode" and it made no difference anywhere that I could find. Are you referring to the Experia or another model?

With clean mode enabled, toggle the mode button once to the left from the regular speedo/rpm screen and you get a different main screen.  the speedo and rpm section is bigger, but the battery icon is tiny.  I don't like it either.  yes, this is on the experia

Weck has it correct, so disregard my posts about the clean mode on the Experia.

It gives a different screen with no menus and a smaller SOC scale.  I just tried it with the "clean" disabled and enabled. Enables shows a different screen when the mode is used to the left that is not there when the "clean" is disabled.

Thanks! It's kinda useless, IMO, but at least we now know what Energica means by "clean mode". It means if you want to see less stuff on the screen.

I will keep mine disabled.
