Aftermarket Cruise Control
« on: June 09, 2023, 02:53:27 PM »

As almost everybody complains about the original cruise control I found a solution that fits to me. It is this product:

https://motoraldasse.ch/Energica-3d-printed-parts
https://motoraldasse.ch/montage-anleitung-cc-adaptor-energica

To me this is the perfect solution for my ergonomics. I only had one issue with it: I tried to install it myself but never succeeded in the functioning of the CC.  When I told this to the guy who invented it, he came personally to my home(!), analysed the problem and fixed it with changing the wires. The reason was a different wiring on my eva ribelle...

Good to know that there is some variance in the wiring. What production year is your Ribelle?
Oh, and impressive commitment by the seller!

I purchased the same one for me Experia, it didn't work either...and it's not really possible for the "inventor" to come to my home to sort it as I live in Australia. They are sending me a new harness to suit the Experia though.

Holy-cow-batman....$240 USD (non-carbon variant)...well, it seems reasonable for turn-key solution, but I'm too cheap if there's an alternate way....DIY 3D print file: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5498804/apps

240 USD is quite a lot. Still, I'd be okay with that if it worked perfectly from the start. With two failures for two attempts, Ribelle (2022) and Experia, it doesn't look like they even tested the their product with the models they promise it works with.

I contacted Marchel (Electric Motorcycles Nederland) and asked about their cruise control relocation kit. At 199 Euro it costs pretty much the same, but given their expertise, I assume it will work from the start.
