Went for a ride today.
« on: February 26, 2023, 11:35:44 PM »

It was a Beautiful Sunny day out today, temp in mid 80's and I couldn't resist, time to take the bike out for a ride.  I needed some stuff from the Home Despot so off we go !

Was on the highway doing about 80, and decided to crank the throttle to see what she still had left.
I tell you, even  at that speed, hitting the twister, that bike still took off like a scalded cat.  I was well over 100 in a few seconds.
It's amazing the torque this bike can provide even when you are hauling ass already !

I need to scout out some back country roads to ride on, this bike is just plain FUN !!

I’m jealous! It’s been cold and wet here in the SF Bay Area not to mention still waiting on the dealer to finish working on my Ribelle.

Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some sunshine and warm weather!

One thing Id like, which they kind of hint to on their website, but don't really say YES, is Id like to put storage on it like the Experia, the big box on the back for when I have to go shopping or drop stuff off at the UPS etc.  Id love some sort of kit where I could snap the thing on and off in a few minutes.   Anyone know if something exists like that, 3rd party even and where I may get it?

I goto UPS almost daily to drop off packages for my business and would LOVE to take the bike instead of the Silverado each trip.

Thanks

The Experia top box does indeed just "pop on and off", takes seconds rather than minutes....essentially just insert the key, turn 90 degrees clockwise, push the button and "pop", off she comes.!! Simple as that. The rack itself only takes a few mins to remove or install.

There's two little stud type inserts at the front of the mount plate which slide into and hold the top box on and it just clips in at the back, very simple and works well....very similar to many of the Givi top box setups. Seems plenty sturdy too. Whether a similar mounting bracket/rack and/or plate is available for the other Energicas is the question though, however, I suspect the Ribelle or SS9 won't have the same fixing points like the Experias.

Which model Energica do you have Specter? As mentioned already, only the Experia has an OEM top case option. The EsseEsse9 and Ribelle both only have OEM side case options (rigid soft cases). A few of us non-Experia owners have had independent shops build top case racks for us.
