https://www.mcia.co.uk/downloads/download/672Interesting stuff:
- For the first time they have best selling models for various E-Moto power bands (December only, no YTD)
- It shows E-Moto growth of 145.9% compared to 9.3% for petrol bikes which compares to a 50.7% growth last year and a 2.3% decline for petrol last year
- Most of that is driven by a 179.9% increase in 1-4kW which constitutes about 80% of the E-Moto registrations, though petrol equivalents still significantly outsell e-scoots and grew at 26.3%
- 15-35kW is the only electric category to decline having done so last year too
- Pretty much all bigger electric bikes are lumped together in 35+kW with a 37.1% increase up to 133 new registrations
- Only 5 35+kW E-Motos were registered in December and the most popular one was the Energica Ribelle
- The top seller in the "other moped" category (which includes petrol vehicles) was the Sur Ron Light Bee with 55% of the category
- No primarily electric manufacturers made it into the top ten brands for December but the number 10 spot was 136 bikes and the Super Soco CPX electric scooter managed 103 sales so that might change next year
- They don't produce annual stats about best selling bikes
