« on: August 20, 2022, 10:19:01 PM »

Came across this and it reminds us that range affects everyone.

But some a lot less than others. My MotoGuzzi has an 8.5 gallon / 32 liter fuel tank. Several of my motorcycles have a 300mile/500 km or more range.

I guess it all depends on how you ride.  I do many short rides.  My average ride is under 50 miles and have not needed or wanted to go over 100 miles in the last 15+ years so my average 100 mile range Zero SR/S is more than adequate for me.

Have to match your ride to your needs.

My thought watching that little clip that seems to repeat itself is that my electric motorcycle has no neutral and taking the chain off would be necessary to push like he is.

So if someone has watched a bunch of electric motorcycle review videos they know how often the mostly gas bike riding reviewer does everything wrong on the electric bike and it dies on them.
This was a big thing in the early Zero days because they had to "ride it like a real bike" which was 75-80MPH and then complain they didn't get the posted range.  They also would imply that would never happen on a gas bike.

Just thought that goofball running out of gas was a fun counterpoint.
