Disappointing
« on: May 18, 2022, 01:01:51 AM »

At this price point I would hope for better than 3kW L2 charging.  Minimum acceptable for me (especially considering DCFC doesn't appear to be an option) would be 6kW.

Not that I have this kind of money to blow anyway.

oh my god

I don't know where the discussion is at this point but I fucking NAILED IT on that battery pack. After seeing the renderings and doing brief napkin math I remember predicting it wouldn't be anything more than a 9kWh battery just based on cell count. And here it is, 8.8kWh. I am amazing.

85% art 10% usable bike 5% I got one and you don't.

I think the interesting angle is, unlike a rare gas bike or car that just sits and is hardly used and goes up in value, those batteries will die used or not.

I mean in 15 years if left in it's "original" form it will be unusable.  I'm sure you could replace them with much better technology at that time but then it's no longer original.

It's up to $83k now. It sure has a unique style but for that amount of money one could buy an energica and customize the whazoo out of it and get some better specs.
