2014 Zero S, multifunction switch issue?
« on: August 23, 2022, 05:59:40 AM »

Last week I noted that on switching from low beam to high beam, there was a brief period of neither. After a few days, this had ended up being neither high or low beam being on (though the low power lamp, I think this is termed the running light, remains on), with the high beam indicator remaining illuminated on the instrument panel. Other electrical lamps, horn, continue to perform. Note that the factory headlamp bulb was replaced about 2 years ago with the same halogen bulb part as part of preventive maintenance so I have no reason to suspect the bulb itself.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue, and, if so, found that replacing the multifunction switch restored normal headlamp function?

This should help.

https://zeromanual.com/wiki/SDS_Platform/Unofficial_Service_Manual#Lights_and_Signals

You'll see there are 2 different fuses one for each light.  Check that and then look for a loose bulb or connection.

If the dash is showing the high beam on then the switch must be sending a signal that it's been activated.  So should be on the bulb end.

Good luck.
