IOW,  the  KWH spec of the  battery may no longer meet that KWH spec at higher speeds where there is a higher current drain with more heat. While another battery could have a wider range of that stated spec under varying loads.

Yes, that's a true statement. kWh numbers are derived after a standard test with a fixed load. These tests are conducted under a strict set of rules to make sure all batteries deliver the same amount of energy at a fixed set of parameters. If you change any of those parameters (Like the load) the numbers change. Every battery mfg publishes a set of measurements at different loads to give the end user an idea of how the cells will act under their specific load profile. Sites like lygte-info.dk gather these for end users to examine, for example the Sony VTC6 cell https://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/Sony%20US18650VTC6%203000mAh%20%28Green%29%20UK.html. You see that nominal capacity is reached .5A (11wH) but when loading @ 5 amps the effective energy is at 10.4wH. This is a characteristic of most Li cells. If we knew which cell was used we could predict the usable capacity a lot better based on our load profiles.

CW?  Did you mean, Cd?

AFAIK, the drag coefficient of motor vehicles is given in the Cw form?

I kinda wish they would rate the range of electric motorcycles like Tesla does, at 65 MPH/105 KMH and not use any names for the speeds.

For the 21.5KWh pack, based on previous threads on the board, cells used are Farasis 32Ahr pouch...

Unfortunately it's all speculation as Energica has never officially said who the cell supplier on the 21.5s is. The 13.4s were made using EIG cells. For whatever reason Italy is keeping it quiet.

They managed to squeeze another  KWH  in the Experia. How many of their cells in a KWH of battery?  I wonder if the new 22.5 KWH battery looks any larger.

I would have preferred them to squeeze another 3KW (6KW total) more of an AC charger in that space--if possible.

There have been pictures and videos posted. The battery looks massively different. Basically it appears they arranged it in an inverted T shape, with two packs at the base and one above. This dramatically increases the pack's surface area and hopefully will result in a positive impact for pack cooling. We'll have to wait and see.

It's really cool. Center of gravity got lowered, too.

I have no idea what to expect.

Heck, I am buying the bike and don't even really know what it looks like.

But i don't think i can go wrong with Energica.
