Ribelle in Woubrugge
« on: June 12, 2022, 08:14:49 PM »

We had to stop for an open bridge in Woubrugge, and when it closed a Ribelle came from the other side. I was pretty excited to see another Energica, wanted to say hi ;)

Hi Skidz, that was me! I asked in the Dutch What's app group, but apparently you are not in that or missed the post. I have this Ribelle RS now almost a month. I traded in  my EsseEsse9 after 4,5 years with 60.000 km.

Hey SBK74! Nice to see you here. I have mine a month now too, we must have been in the same transport ;) It's a regular Ribelle. I'm a Zero convert, sold my DSR after 6 years.

Hi Skidz,
Mine is a July-2021 bike, ex-demo, the first EMCE Ribelle that arrived in NL. Got it via Marchel, I could test drive it in Hoogmade in May, convenient as as I live in ZTW Rijndijk. Happy with your Ribelle? I saw you did quite some touring already. Must have been quite a shock from DSR to Ribelle.

This thing is bonkers. Since the Zero dealer fsck'd up my DSR on a firmware update I had the chance to ride a SR/S Premium for two weeks, right after an afternoon with a Ribelle RS and let me tell you there is no comparison. The only plus for the SR/S is the 12kW AC charging, but that's it. The frame felt like it was made of rubber, and the SR/S could not make the 144km commute I have in one go. Since I already ordered the Ribelle, that strengthened my belief I made the right choice.
Got the Ribelle from Floris @ Bikexperience, brand new. First week did a round trip of the Ijsselmeer which took 12 hours on the DSR with 7kW total charging, and 4 hours on the Ribelle due to less stops and DCFC. The weekend after I took an extra day off (Ascention day weekend) and went to the Eiffel, totalled 1050km's in two days. This bike gets awfully close to gas bikes when you plan a bit ahead, especially in the Eiffel/Luxembourg/Ardennes region since DCFC is few and far between. Since I also have to commute twice a week to Eindhoven, the odo is at 5k km already.
It's crazy I havn't seen you on the SS9 before, since we probably tour the same stretches of road...
