Update:
Got the Shad top and side cases now:
https://www.smart-coasting.eu/Zero-Motorcycles-SR-F-Luggage-Carrier-System-with-SHAD-Top-and-Side-CasesSome details I found that might be of interest to anyone else curious about these:
- The top and side cases had their separate lock mechanisms, so I had to manually change the lock for the top box to avoid having to carry one extra key. Changing it was a bit fiddly, but with some patience and the right tools it was done in about half an hour.
- The top box has a very simple mechanism for easy removal. Simply push a release button, and the whole top box can be removed quickly. This is very nice since the top box is usually not necessary, and the bike looks better without it. However, an issue is anyone could basically steal the top box with its content with the press of a button if they know about it. Security through obscurity I guess...
- The top box actually provides nice back support for a passenger. And although it makes it a bit harder for them to climb on, the cases makes it more comfortable to ride.
- The top box will exactly fit an XL helmet, and the side box has plenty room for a charging cable with space to spare, very convenient.
Generally the build quality is a bit plasticky, and the lock wont keep anyone hellbent on breaking in away, but seems solid enough and the boxes are super light and aerodynamically shaped.
