Where to buy zero fx sprocket and pinion?
« on: April 08, 2022, 11:56:53 AM »

Hello everyone,
my Zero FX of 2018 has worn chain kit and I can no longer use the bike until I change it: looking for spare parts on the net and hearing my dealer, they give me waiting times of almost two months. now I wanted to know if you can find the complete chain kit at a good price and in a short time, or even buy the kit excluding the chain since that is found without problems, then buy the sprocket and the crown also separately. thanks for any help

the motor sprocket can be alternatively found  at www.jtsprockets.com. The rear sprocket is a custom design made by sprocketspecialists.com

When you remove the motor sprocket, please take a look at the splines.
Could you maybe make a photo?
There have been reports of destroyed or worn out splines on the motor shaft.

I want to do a chain conversion too, but want to learn if it is a general issue or only an isolated occurrence.
What is the mileage on your chain kit? How long did it last?

hello, I have two bikes and the one to which I have to change the kit has 3200 km. the other instead to which I have not yet changed it has 11,000, but the first 4000 were made with the belt and then half will have been made on asphalt, while the first 3200 km are all off-road, I do not know if it changes anything.

thanks for the info, there is for sure a difference between off-road and on-road use, but I would still expect it to last longer, but probably you ride very hard :) and the sprocket having only 11 teeth makes also for a short lifespan. With on-road use I usually got 20-30t kms.

I am curious how your splines on the motor shaft held up for you.

the problem is that all of a sudden I found that the chain was slow and turned idle on the sprocket, and from there on the damage was done: we then pulled the chain and completed the turn but the damage was done. Now I have not yet figured out what was due to the failure, we will try to figure it out when we disassemble, but first I have to find the spare part.

hello, at the end had unscrewed the sprocket: we reassembled it and tightened well and I think the kit is still half life. thanks
