Tony I think what puts a wrinkle into your choice is the fact that you already bought the SRF.
If you have plenty of CCS around you and like taking longer trips then the SS9 is likely an all around better bike.
I just think it would be hard to justify an upgrade unless the CCS is just that important to you.
They are about the same power and riding position with a few of their own pros and cons.
If you have the funding to just get whatever you like then by all means enjoy. But you will take a big loss on the Zero in the first year or so and then they level off until the battery warranty runs out.
Good luck.
True, and I finally landed on a decision. I would basically pay a steep price for a few improvements (faster charging and longer range being the most tangible). While other things might even be a downgrade (going from a more maintenance free belt to a chain, heavier bike, no dealer nearby to manage warranty issues to name a few)
Instead, I will explore options for updating the SR/F by unlocking features by software (reverse, faster charging, navigation on dash) and perhaps look into the power tank and instead get some top and side cases to replace the sacrificed storage compartment.
I will keep my eyes open, maybe in a year or two there will be some major improvements that warrants changing bike. Now is not the time yet.
Thanks to everyone providing insight here, it was very helpful.
