The front end is suspended.  It's a proprietary design Curtiss (when they were "Confederate") has used before.  It's just not the telescopic fork you're used to looking at.  Look through the rest of the gallery; the front shock is clearly on display in a couple of other photos.

I don't see any room for it to move.  I thought maybe it was a swing arm but...

It's similar to the Hossack-based front ends BMW has been using on their "K" bikes for years now.  The latest Honda Goldwings have a similar front-end set-up.  It is less obvious on those bikes, though, given that the working pieces are hidden behind fairings.

Wow, that's still a tiny, tiny shock.  A single is better than two, but the travel looks awful.

I was just about to say my bike has one, but you beat me to it. It's quite bizarre to see it working hard, bopping up & down just behind the clocks:

It certainly makes you appreciate how much the suspension is soaking up when you can see it in action on the bike. It also decreases dive, which means getting back onto a normal telescopic-forked bike is always a bit of a shock for me - so to speak.

I never got on with it myself. I much preferred the feel from Telelever.

Cas :)

Me too. I prefered the ESA Telelever that I had on my 2007 R1200R to the ESA male-slider forks on my R1200RS.

Crissa,

If you watch this video carefully you can clearly see the front suspension working:
