I would be interested in hearing how much the cost of charging differed between L2 and L3 power per mile when traveling across the country on the two bikes. That should compensate for differences in charging prices within various areas of the country.  A general comparison could also be made between gasoline and electric power costs to go across the country.

True!  I'm really curious how much Scott spent on his SR/F trip.  He used AC stations, so some of them may have been free, but he was using 2 stations at once.  The cost may have been similar.  I wonder how fuel efficient a gas bike would have to be to beat AC and DC charging, especially now with $5/gallon prices.

I'm showing my age because on one hand it's a great achievement on a personal level, and it shows the state of art as it comes to bikes and charging.
On the other hand the lack of sleep could have caused a catastrophe.  Lack of sleep impairs judgement and reflexes.
IOW don't wreck for records.
I'd like for future riders to just log ride and charge time not total time.
But like I said I'm showing my age.

That's a great idea.  Then it would truly be able the bike and infrastructure.  I think the problem that the Cannonball Run has created is that even speed limits aren't obeyed.  Fastest means fastest.
