2013 DS Slow charging

Hi guys..Can anyone advise me why this bike charges at 650W which takes forever, but there have been times it charges at 1200W which obviously goes a lot quicker. I do all my charging at home. Is there an algorithm in the bike charger that determines at what rate it charges?  Usually run the battery only halfway so thought it might charge quicker if I run the batt down more but didnt make a difference. Its not a train smash as I wud think its better for the battery to charge at a slow rate.

So the 13s have 4 Meanwell units.  Mine has done the same thing.  Either 1 or 2 of them went out as they are 2S 2P so now it charges at 6 amps doubling the charge time.
I recommend a Delta Q charger no matter what.  It can either replace or add to your charging speed.  If used together you are ultimately putting half the hours on the OB chargers.

You can only get all four as a set from AF1 Racing as far as I can tell you may want to call and ask or do a deep search.

Thx bud but I am in South Africa with no support (ie: no dealerships) for these bikes. I wud prefer not to mess with it. Just puzzles me it did a few 1200W charges when I first got it but now seems to only charge at 650W. Otherwise no problems..best thing I ever bought.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder how there bikes get so many places but they are fun.
Just a word of caution.  If you go out riding and come back with a low state of charge (less than 25%) and your on board charger completely dies out that could brick your bike if you have to wait long.

That Delta Q charger from Zero is just plug and play no tools.  Really might be worth getting one shipped from EU or AUS.
