New FW Ver040
« on: July 03, 2021, 10:54:49 PM »

All, just got notified from my dealer that V040 is out. It will be a while until I will have the chance to upgrade, but I try to switch asap as I also suffer from the annoying keyless „key-not-in-range“ error, I really hope this has been fixed.
Can anyone confirm?

most, I just got an email from Demoni and the new firmware does not fix the "key not in range" error messages. HOWEVER!!!!! The new firmware does increase the charging speed on 110 volts for those of us with a Ribelle so that they can charge at 12A instead of 6A.

All,

What is the latest available FW version? I‘m aware of the 0.40 but don’t know if since then there were newer version issued.

And: Is there any indication if the „Key not in range“ issue was fixed meanwhile?

Thanks!

About two months ago I got FW 41 so that is the latest that I know of. None of the problems such as "key not in range" have been fixed and 110 charging is still at 6 amps and takes over 25 hours for a full charge. Energica's are awesome until you have a problem and then it takes many months and in the case of the "key not in range" over a year to come up with a solution. Just incredibly frustrating.

What do you mean it's at 6amps? Im pretty sure mine is set to 12 and charges at that rate too.

HoodRichOG, What are your charging times like when you plug into 110 volts? When I had my Eva 107 I always charged on 110 for my daily 60-70 mile commute and never had a problem charging overnight. With my Ribelle I never use 110 volts because it is so much slower so always use 220 for daily charging. Have tried a load meter and it only pulls around 700 watts or so.

I believe it's about 8-10% of charge per hour. Dash says it pulls 12A. I haven't checked using a meter, but I do have one and will check it.

HoodRichOG, Do you have a Esse or a Ribelle? I started a thread which is back on page 4 here after I discovered that a friend who had an Esse was able to charge at 12A on 110 volts while my Ribelle only charges at 6A.

2022 Ribelle. It charges about 9% per hour I think. My house energy meter shows about 1.5kW when the bike is charging.

Awesome! It sounds like they got the problem fixed. Now just wondering if whatever they did to fix the slow charging can be retrofitted to a 2021 Ribelle.
