« on: October 16, 2023, 09:37:06 PM »

I just received this via email:

Hello, Zero Owners,

We have released a new firmware version that includes bug fixes and maintenance for all motorcycles on both the Cypher III and Cypher II platforms. The details for installing these updates as well as the detailed release notes are available below.

Firmware version: Cypher III MY20/21/22/23 Cypher III MBB REV 34, BMU REV 13 and BMS REV 24 (SR/F, SR/S, DSR/X and MY22+ SR)

Cypher III users will need to update via the NextGen App or by visiting a Zero Motorcycles authorized dealer. Once this update is installed, customers will be able to continue to install future updates using the NextGen App or by 'Over the Air' update function.

Firmware version: Cypher II MY17/18/19/20/21/22/23 Cypher II MBB Rev 38 BMS Rev 45 (FX, FXS, FXE, S, DS, DSR and MY21 & prior SR)

Greetings,
Yes, I just saw that also and it reminded me to check this forum.   Have a 2022 FXE that had problems (reported here) which were fixed with firmware update.  I will check and update that thread.

Is there a DYI method to update firmware for the cypher II ?   I would rather not have to take bike to dealer for that.  I see "firmware update" in the zero app... it doesnt work, but thought that maybe someone here knows how.

Thx!
