Thank you so much for all the replies
Besides quad-lock you mention some, to me, unknown models I can look at.
Question is : why do you need a holder for ? If this is for GPS direction, the best solution by far is a connected watch (i use Samsung's) that replicates the phone direction - works perfectly and you don't need an ugly add-on.
You just wrap your smartwatch around the handlebar or?
I have an older Schuberth S2 helmet. Recently ditched the old SRC bluetooth collar because it was at the end of its life. Started to have issues with voicecommands (calling and changing song) and cables in the collar started to snap. When taking the helmet on/off it puts a lot of stress on the cables. Next season I think I will buy a new helmet so I won't spend money on a new bluetooth kit for the S2. Otherwise I could have kept the phone in the pocket and listened to directions... But I also want to be able to see if I need to stop for a call or text - sometimes they call from work and ask if I can help out with an issue. If it's easy $ and I have time then why not.
I would not assume that an electric bike will not brick your expensive phone. Far too many iPhones have been destroyed on bikes for me to risk a new phone. I use one for nav but bought a older iPhone 6 on eBay for $40. These older cameras are not impacted by vibes on bumps. I keep my new phone in my pocket.
As the text beneath my messages reveal I still don't have an electric bike. Even though my bike is adjusted pretty smooth that 4 cyl still creates a little resonance at various rpm somewhere between 4-7.000 rpm... I can't be going with 13.500 rpm all the time
Would have ordered a Energica if it wasn't the the because we suddently wanted to move. Kid starts on business college in a town 20km away and I work in that same town. Wife even got a new job there so we will all be bicycling to work/school.
We (or I) have to consider if it isn't overkill with both a Model 3 Long Range and an Energica Ribelle... But maybe it's just easier to afford when it's not going to be a daily commute
