I believe the term the kids use today is, "lul"

How do they fuck up all these numbers and make such poor comparisons?

Regarding Damon's claims: Like I always say, I'll believe it when I see it (and not necessarily on YouTube)  ::)

LOL! That would be everyone's dream SR/S!
With a 200 miles city range, 0-85% in 30 minutes and at $20k :P

Unless they have insider info on Zero's next version of the SR/S  :P

I wonder what size battery they are thinking of for the Brutus V9. You can get it with either a 18.8 kWh battery or a 33.7 kWh battery. 1:20 for a 33.7 kWh battery isn't too bad. But these details are also not listed on the Bell Custom Cycles web page for the V9. The price isn't either.  Comparing a sport bike with a full size cruiser is also a bit unusual!

And the LiveWire was nowhere to be seen. Also note Ego, not Ego+. Just a miserable failure all around.

The numbers match up for what was published spring 2020... between the launch of the SR/S and the Energica+

Vetter, stop bringing your miserableness into the conversations, please.  If you don't have anything to add, just... don't.

I tried searching lul and the best I could find is lame uncomfortable laugh.

I am not sure how to deal with these post #1 that is just a link to a blog post.  Apparently a blog is a section of a website that is updated regularly.  I copy and paste a line here "With a degree in Print Journalism, Mark has written for a number of different industries and publications."

That video is pretty old but after a refusal to say what the lever where a clutch usually is I watched the rear brake pedal move at around 3:30 and for a safety oriented bike isn't the brake in a bad location with the peg in the down position?

I can see it has what should be considered an appropriate sized front sprocket.

The link for the 9 questions to choose an electric motorcycle is intresting, will wait for it's own thread here.

I had to go digging to find that table on here.
https://blog.damon.com/futuristic-electric-motorcycles/

Now that's not what I had posted about but I'll address it since there seems to be interest.
If someone wants to read the whole blog page that I posted above I think it's fair and shows the different approaches of some of the different bike companies.
I'll say this was written in May so some of the numbers were not correct.  I've seen many Zero review videos with most people getting the Zero's "options" mixed up and quoting their power tank and charge tank specs as one package and giving the base price which is what seems to be on this table.
With Power tank range being shown as Crissa pointed out at a max 200 miles.  The shortest charge time being quoted as 1 hour to 95% on the build a bike page as of today on a premium bike with the 6kw charge tank added.

Fran K I'll try to address some of what your saying if I can.

Most companies hire someone to put out press releases or public relations material in as professional a manner as possible.  Even if they come from a more neutral journalistic back ground when a company hires them then they work for the company and write accordingly.
Pretty standard stuff.  I don't know Mr. Linsdell's relationship to Damon but that would be my guess.

The foot peg and brake pedal move together from one position to another.
Also they just haven't released the function for the "clutch lever" at this time.  I was told they have used it for different functions and hadn't decided what the final use would be (if any).

I think the problem is with the charge times mentioned. And if they would really want to compare the fastest charging options then:
1. Even with the premium + rapid charger, 30 minutes to 85% on an SR/S or SR/F is not possible i guess. Unless this is 20-85% and not 0-85%
2. For the Energica the number there seems to indicate the L2 charging time and no way the DC fast charge times
3. To be fair any comparison of charge times should ideally from something like 20-85% since thats what most people would be frequently keeping their SOC's in
4. Also rather than compare it to Johammer and Brutus, Livewire could be a much better comparison (for Damon's own good wrt the price point atleast) and Livewire has all specs stated out

Are Damon folks willing to take feedback for their blogposts?

Damon is most active on their FB page.  I don't engage with FB so I pass along some of the posts there on to here.

1. I agree that is simply an error on the table.  Surely not intentional as it makes Zero look like the best option when it just isn't the fastest in the group at all if CCS stations are available.

2.  These seem off as well although people with the new + model Energicas have said they throttle down the charge rate as early as 40% SOC.  This may change with updates but is what they are saying.

3. I agree but some battery configurations can handle different rates at different SOC.

4.  Mostly agree with this also but my guess is there is still hard feelings between the Alta guys and HD so...

They were literally quoting Ego stats, not Ego+ stats, and even then they still managed to mess them up. More egregious than that is the addition of the Johammer and Brutus bikes which, the former is an oddity for the sake of being an oddity, and the latter is just nowhere near a production vehicle. Meanwhile, the LiveWire was ignored and stats for all other vehicles were botched rather badly. The price on the Zero is wrong as well as several other stats.

I'm still waiting to see how they plan on fitting well over 1000 21700s into a smaller, lighter package than anything else out there.

I posted a link to the "Damon Dictionary" not a 7 month old spec table.

You know the + bikes are not charging as fast (miles per hour of charge) as the old ones.  They dropped the air channel in the battery and can't bleed off the heat as well. (Per Lex Summer)

The Damon is claiming a 6kw AC charger to Energicas 3kw AC charger so no contest there.

I addressed the Johammer and Brutus and Livewire in point 4.  Two bad bikes and a company that drove Alta out of business.

I addressed the very common mistake of mixing up Zero option specs and the base price for a standard bike.  His mistake but again it only serves to make the Zero look better than it is and not the other way around.
