Looks like a fun time.  That's a good easy going group to race with.
As for your top speed, was it still cool, being NZ Spring?
The only other factor I can think of is maybe other Ego's had non-stock gearing?

Nahh, the conditions were perfect.  It MAY have been traction control in the beginning, and a low SOC for the high speed runs that were limiting my top speed.. but I have no idea, and that sounds ridiculous  ::)

mistasam, I'm very curious to know what you find out with your power limitations. I wish you had the display set to the kW output so we could see how much power it was peaking at.

Me too!  I'm planning on shooting a video to show the power level at every 5% or 10% as the battery goes down.  We'll see where the power starts to drop.

Any chance it's a firmware issue?
I don't know if you can update through a phone or not in an Ego.

I feel like it was a mix of low-SOC and the ABS and Traction Control kicking in and limiting the power, but I'll go out and test this theory as soon as it stops raining  ;D

Starting with a warm battery will give you the best results. I'd like to do a test as well so I'll top up at a DCFC station to get it warm for some launches.
