I have recently changed the front tire by putting an enduro one, and at the first off-road ride I noticed that it bounces a lot off the front, it bounces a lot on the stones as if the fork didn't work.
Previously with the worn rubber was much better: the brand of rubber is the same and the pressure is ok.
However, I had the doubt that the tire specialist, since he had a hard time reassembling the front wheel because he could not get the thread on the pivot, did not sink the forks as it is usually done with motocross bikes before tightening all the screws.
According to you, can that be the problem? Now I would like to try to fix it myself but I don't really understand what this fork looks like: you need a big Allen to loosen the main pin (but what size) and then two small Allen to loosen the two screws underneath. Just do that and then make some lunges before tightening everything, or is there something else to do? I didn't find any indication on the manual. Thanks for any help

You have the basic procedure but be sure to also apply the front brake before tightening all to center the rotor. On various bikes with those big allen heads I've used a bolt head and vise grips on the threads. That's an expensive socket to buy!

do you know what size is that Allen? I tried to measure it and it seems 16+-17 mm but I would not want to make a mistake, since I have to buy it only for that.

I think it’s a 17mm. You can buy a motorcycle axle Allen tool that has all the common sizes for around $10. These use a standard 1/2” drive which also allows you to torque the axle to the proper specs. Or use a bolt with 2 nuts locked together.

Also check that your tire is seated on the bead evenly all the way around. Most tires have a line molded around the edge. If you don’t use enough lube while installing the tires they can seat unevenly which as you can imagine, will cause a nasty vibration.

I loosened it a little while ago, I also loosened the washers underneath and then I made some lunges with the fork, also pressing sometimes the brake and sometimes not, and then I tightened all the bolts.
I also lowered the tire pressure to 0.9 bar: it is that I have the impression that the new enduro tire is very stiff, probably also because of the cold. I also have the reinforced chamber so I could try to lower the pressure again. At the first lap I will see if the situation has improved. Thanks
