100% with full cell balancing complete? If not then thats why regen probably worked. Its worked for me in this particular scenario (but was kind of not so predictable)
But when balancing is complete, regen may not possibly work is how is understand it.

You have to do the opposite of moto training:  Hold the rear brake hard.  Smash it, hard and fast.  The faster the better.  Because you want it to lock.

If it doesn't lock, the brakes will heat up and fail.  If they lock, then they lose heat and you win.

Doesn't matter the motor type.

ABS only cares the difference between the wheel's speeds.  It will totally let you lock the brake once you're not moving.  And it will stop you safely.  ABS is your friend.  Trigger it.

When your bike goes crazy , doesn t respond to the throttle and tries to kill you the ABS will prevent blocking the rear wheel since you are riding. If this happens in full traffic........

ABS will stop the rear from spinning.  It will attempt to stop the wheel as quickly as possible compared to the relative speed of your other wheel.
