CCS Charging when above 85%
« on: May 18, 2020, 12:47:27 AM »

At 85% SOC, the Energica gives a warning about not disconnecting until the charge is completed so balancing can complete. How big of a deal is it to disconnect above that 85%?  Does it really have to complete the balancing every time when above 85% SOC?

You can ignore this if you are DC fast charging and want to get back to riding. The bike has gone into it's balancing mode and the charge rate will be much slower during this phase. I would however suggest that if you are seeing that notice at 85% SOC you leave the bike plugged in overnight for a complete balance to 100% SOC.

That's  kinda what I assumed. As long as I let it complete to full charge once in a while, all should be okay. I just wanted to be sure because of the message.

BTW, where that message appears, does it very? I assumed it was always at 85% when that message comes on during a CCS charge. I think it's always been at 85% on my 2020 SS9 where I see that message.
