Title: Charging question for SR/F
Post by: Coastal on May 14, 2019, 10:24:19 PM
Coming from EV cars, Zero motorcycles seem to a myriad of charging options (multiple charging points on the same motorcycle etc).  I'm hopefully going to order a SR/F and from what I can tell the North American models accept a J1772 charger.  I have a ChargePoint Level 2 charger at my home so presumably I'm set for 3KW or 6KW charging (depending on standard vs premium) correct?   My Charging Station is good for approximately 7.7KW.

Thanks!

yes the 19k one will charge at 3kw and the premium will charge at 6kw, your home charger is compatible.

I recall seeing some high power external quick -chargers for the SR/F. They cost several thousand each.  I think I saw them somewhere in this forum. I cannot find them now. Can anybody here help me find such?

I assume they are an European only option as there is no reasonable way for them to work with  120 VAC (would have to draw way too much current).

But even if so, I would like to know if they are compatible with my SR. I can easily feed them with the 240 VAC.

Is the battery voltage the same on the SR/F (116.5 VDC at full charge) as the SR?

You can get a SR/F outfitted with a 3,6,9 or 12KW Level 2 charger system.  Depending on how you buy it (base 3kw vs premium 6kw), and if you add the optional 6kw charge tank or not.
