Title: How to check/adjust belt tension
Post by: spelunker on January 05, 2014, 09:27:23 PM
Hello. When I check the belt tension on my 2013 S, does it matter if I put the gauge on the top of the belt, or can I put the gauge on the bottom of the belt? Should the bike be on a lift, or can it be sitting in the floor?

If your 2013 is like my 2012 S, you place the gauge on top of the belt at the mid-point with the bike sitting on the floor.

On of the beauties of the Zero final drive design is that the motor drive is on the exact same axis as the swing arm pivot point.   Because of this it matters not where the swing arm is in it's travel:  the belt tension is the same.    Clever.
