I am not much of a Facebook user, never could figure out how it works. But I sometimes read some of the messages, and I was just looking at the messages in the Energica Owners Group.
I see several messages there that none of the 2022 or later Energicas are compatible with ChargePoint CCS.
Is this true?
For those here in the USA with 2022 or later Energicas, please let me know if you can use Chargepoint CCS.
If my Experica will not charge with Chargepoint, the bike will be almost useless to me. Chargepoint is what I use the most. Nevada City, Cisco Grove, Hwy 50 etc.

The newer Chargepoint CP250 stations with the color display are broken for Energicas. They used to work, then they didn't, then they worked,.and now they don't again.

Would that be the new ones shown in the photos here? (https://www.plugshare.com/location/64737)
Those always work on my 2020 SS9- on the very first try.

I have no idea what those look like. Can you show me such a site on Plugshare? But I am glad the ones I showed are NOT the ones you're referring to as those are the ones I use and need. I probably never even saw a CP250S. First time I heard that number.

I just now realized the Charge Point CCS chargers in the photo have been changed since that photo was taken, They look like this now. (https://www.evchargesolutions.com/ChargePoint-CPE-250-DCFC-p/cpe250.htm) I can tell by the fact both cables are on the same side on the right.
These new chargers work perfectly on my 2020 Esse Esse 9-. In fact, the best I have seen. Work the very first try every time.
Are these likely to NOT work on my Experia? This could be a big problem for me.

Current bug exists with CPE250s running software version 7.4.2.3
If the station is not a CPE250 running software version 7.4.2.3 there is no problem.

Is it the newer or older version of software that causes this problem with the CPE250s? IOW, did they fix it or break it with the latest sw version?

Check the stations and see if they're CPE250s running version 7.4.2.3

There is a CPE250 near me, haven't tried it yet, how do you check software version?
-
Well, I stopped by there today, same one in Sedalia. Tried to initiate charging myself but it would not. Called the support number, they rebooted the station and initiated the charging remotely, had me plug in and it started immediately at 18.5kw. So I believe they are working now and Im doing something wrong. I did not think to check the Ver. I will next time, If I remember.

They're touchscreens. Just press settings things until you can find the version.

I doubt if you're doing anything wrong. Sometimes getting any vehicle to start with CCS is a hassle. Some vehicles are pickier than others. I have charged my Energica just fine when the car after me couldn't get it to work for anything. See my Aug 24 2022 check-in here for an example. (https://www.plugshare.com/location/303849)
The guy after me I tried to help him charge, and we both gave up. However, his car used to charge up there just fine. And still charges up everywhere else okay.
