Title: Ribelle RS On it's way
Post by: wadejesu on December 14, 2022, 08:36:13 AM
Started separate Topic on delivery, I ordered Ribelle RS on July 2nd, Received request for full payment on Dec 5th and paid it. Received notice today that delivery kit will be here in Alabama on Dec 17th and bike will be here Dec 22. Delivery will be to my residence since there is no Energica dealer with 1000 miles.
Merry Christmas

That’s great news. I have an Experia on order. I hope they call me soon. I live in Mississippi so mine will be delivered to my house as well. Maybe I will run into you at Barber.

Did they notify you by telephone? And was that the only way you were notified?

I am sure the email was from Energica. In most of the country we are over 500 miles from a dealership. In that case when you configure the bike and book it you are dealing directly with Energica. We wish we had a dealer for local support but until then we will take what we can get. I will say that the communication could be better but when I reached out to Energica they did respond. Delivery of the new Experia are just beginning. Someone has to be first and it wasn’t me and I am ok with that. I would expect the preorder holders of the Experia will be getting their bike within the next six weeks or so.

All my correspondence has been through email except for the few times I talked to Tom Huff when I ordered Ribelle, Payments were via QuickBook.
I sent emails every other month to check status, got a reply within 48 hrs every time, either from Tom or Gianluca.

Welcome kit came 2 days early, maybe the bike will too. 3 keys, warranty card, owners manual, shock tool, bunch of decals and key chains.

I wonder why one key is orange and not green.

ORANGE is master key, supposed to keep it in a safe place.

Don't lose the orange one. Keep it in a safe place.

It's a different color for a reason. The orange can be programmed to a new key, The green is the one you should use, cannot be programmed or copied.

If you lose the orange one, the bike will have to go back to Energica to get the mobilizer replaced. And you will then get a set of two new keys. You can still use the green but will never be able to copy it.

If you lose the green, no problem. Just have new keys made from the orange.

Bike is now in Atlanta since the 17th, 160 miles away. Transport tracking says shipment weights 1200 lbs .  ???

Ah...so they've put two Rebelles in by mistake..??  ;D

I suspect the mount/frame/box etc is quite heavy....or they've just "guesstimated" the weight.

Wow looks like you are getting two for one.

Do you know the freight company it’s shipped on? If so you should be able to contact them.

This should be a virtual weight for billing purposes.

I was asked if I wanted a 120 or 240 VAC cable with my bike last June when Tom Hoff called me at home.

We had a nice chat.

I asked for the 240, but I have so many that will do either voltage, I don't really even need it. I am surprised they even ask. Just give everybody a granny cable that can do both.

Right now, my Energica SS9- is in the LPR mode with a 120 VAC cable as I am hogging up my Tesla Wall Connector (240 VAC) for my Tesla to keep it charged up at 75% SOC. Both in Reno.

BTW, Teslas draw a ton of current when not plugged in. Can be a few % of SOC per day when cold.  But my 2022 Chevy Bolt doesn't drop anything when left unplugged. When it is off, it is off, unlike the Tesla. Teslas need to stay plugged in when not being used for a while.

I have wondered if I disconnect the battery plug under the rear passenger seat if I could then leave it for a long time uncharged. Maybe I will try that someday. Could be handy if I leave the care for a long time where there is no place to charge.

Do you have 360 cameras in your Tesla?  I think they are always recording, so if someone hit your car or tried to break in, it may record video of the incident.  That could be part of what is draining the battery.

Mine was shipped directly from Amazon; I think that's how they're doing it these days.

Yes, I have the USB drive in there to record the cameras, but I don't understand your message about somebody breaking in. I am sure that didn't happen anyway.

Tesla themselves say leave the car charging when it will not be used for a while. A Tesla is NOT off when it is off. It is downloading updates and such and sending info over the web. I think it also turns on battery heaters when it gets too cold and stuff like that.

If you mean my Experia, the A&S dealer heard sometime in February.

In time for the nice weather at least. It's now a week of mostly rain here.
