Hi All,
I was thinking recently about the Energica brand and wondered about the first machines and whether any were still around since 2014, still kicking and being used.??
What is the oldest, still currently used example in this group..?

I heard one of the issues back then is they used to be very expensive, so there were not many sold. Now the bikes are a lot better and cost less.
For most of my rides (but not for all rides), I enjoy my 2020 Energica SS9- the most. I have an Experia on order, if it ever gets here. Ordered on June 1. It was supposed to be here in September. But I assume any day now that the very first Energica Experia has recently arrived in the USA.

I've not owned any kind of electric vehicle before, (unless you count an electric scooter :P). I have ridden a new Ribelle...which was a real eye opener, very impressive indeed.
Like you I have an Experia "launch edition" on order....when it will arrive in Australia is up for debate I guess... I knew in advance it wouldn't be this year though. Assuming a late November/early December production date and then an 8 week shipping time to Aus...I think I'll be looking at early-mid Feb...maybe.

There are some videos on YouTube from about a year ago showing 2016 models still on the road. One is a standing start between a 2016 and a 2021. The newest one is the fastest.
I am not sure but I think it was 2016 before many got to the states.
As far as the new Experia deliveries go I expect them to do everything in their power to deliver as many as they can by year end here in the states.

That was supposed to be Septemeber.

In the Netherlands there is one Ego from 2015 still having insurance and 5 Evas from 2016 also insured. That should be pretty close to what had been registred back then. Currently there are 124 Energicas registered in the Netherlands.

Check out the price tag! :o Add licensing fees, taxes and insurance and you are talking some real money to buy one of those bikes. Still the shop managed to sell a few. Obviously, sales really picked up after Energica dropped their prices in the California market the following year (?).

I assume they dropped their prices when they could build more bikes.

What I heard from the sales manager at the time was that Energica was able to sell environmental credits on California's Cap and Trade market and made enough money doing that to be able to lower their prices in CA.

I think that might have been true for one year. After that I bet the money from the credits got spread around North America, if not the world. No doubt Energica is still selling credits for cash on the market, as are all other EV companies, especially Tesla. ???

I had a 2018 Eva 107, bought that after Energica dropped their prices from mid $30K or so to low 20s. Mine was the first Energica sold on the east coast and before TPS was a dealer. Picked it at the Morrisville, NC location. I remember hearing of some guy with an EGO that lived in or near Chicago that had had it for a few years and this was back in 2018.

Hello all, I haven't been on here for awhile and just saw this post. I am actively riding my 2017 Energica Eva - got about 7,000 miles on it now - looking at getting the Oil/Seal/washer service kit soon and servicing it up. It is in the garage now in LPR mode, since it has gotten cold - I try to ride it a few miles on the weekends, but in the 30's, it's a little cold for me to ride.

Good to see you're still pedalling around on an older Eva. Move to Australia, you can ride all year round here. Where l am in Brisbane we rarely see single figures in degrees C ....even in the middle of winter.

My 2018 SS9 has over 40,000 miles on it and still going quite strong.
