Graphene Battery Technology
« on: January 04, 2019, 08:30:48 AM »

Zero needs to be the first electric motorcycle to incorporate Graphene Technology into their batteries. Not wait for Harley or someone else to beat them to it. There are already rumors that Harley is looking into it. Zero needs to remain the leader.

Most companies including Zero doesn't design or manufacture the actual battery cells. They just buy them and pot them. Battery R&D and manufacture is incredibly expensive. Everyone will know when graphene has become sufficiently less exotic and more commercialized when starts appearing in phones and major EV cars 5-10 years from now.

Zero will step in at the right moment to take advantage of graphene cells once they are usable, affordable, safe and warrantable. Everyone is "looking into it." Harley is also tiny in the scheme of things, and has no advantage in this respect.

There's a possibility the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S-10 will have graphene batteries. But you're right. I jumped the gun a bit.
