Zero should merge with SuperSoco
« on: November 13, 2018, 06:17:27 AM »

Zero could use some help in the style department,
and SuperSoco could use some better technology
so they can be the real motorcycles they look like.

Discuss.

These are different classes of bikes .  Having worked on and ridden both bikes.  Yes the little supersoco bikes are sweet little lightweight commuters, but the zero is a much more substantial, more accomplished and a much higher powered machine.  I have just built this cafe racer version for SuperSOCO uk.  We will be at the NEC Birmingham Motorcycle Show from Sat 17th Nov.  Come and have a look.  We will have some great offers.

Nice looking bike.  Love the green/brown combo, very British.

Zero has all the staff it needs to restyle their models. They just won't do it, for reasons of their own.

An acquisition will not resolve this, and would be more costly than the internal investment or shakeup required to accomplish the same effect.

I've been through too many mergers. They suck, cost loads of money, inconvenience everyone, and the most brilliant ideas always get lost. You are just as likely SuperSoco technology and Zero styling as Zero technology and SuperSoco styling.
The fact is that it is ridiculously expensive to mass manufacture and get road approvals for any kind of mass manufactured vehicles. Tesla for example would have gone bankrupt if any of the models they have introduced had failed. They have bet the company four times on new product lines.

Maybe SuperSoco can teach Zero how to install LED lights on their bikes.   8)

Step one ... increase the price of the bike 500-700 usd

It isn't going to happen and it isn't too hard to add your own now ;)

The specs on that bike makes me sad.
I think the merge was just a tongue in cheek suggestion implying Zero needs better style.

So I, modifying a single bike, can add an LED headlight for 5x less than the factory can by buying in bulk? They're in dire need of a better procurement manager.

So a 55 watt bulb uses .055 kWh of power.  Pretty small when using more than 1 kWh per 7 miles.

And that supersoco needs better specs, yup.

Sorry, should have I added more emoticons?
