bent brake lever
« on: April 15, 2018, 09:24:45 PM »

2018 S. Dope-slap worthy fall at 4 mph, too much throttle on a slick surface, went down on the right side and bent the brake lever. Lever is still usable. Brakes seem to work fine. J Juan brakes, but not sure if that has anything to do with the lever. Theoretically, only the lever needs replacing. Looks like I can do this myself. Did not find a solution on the unofficial manual page.
Thanks for advice.

Just replaced mine doing about the same thing.   It is super easy, just need to undo one screw that hold the lever in place.  I used a vice, blowtorch and pipe to bend mine back to almost perfect.  After 20 min of bending I had it almost perfect, then got greedy and snapped it while making the last minor correction.   Replacemtn was about $75 from the dealer.

The manual had a flaw in the front brake lever coverage which I've fixed:

Repair/replacement: https://zeromanual.com/index.php/Unofficial_Service_Manual#Front_Brake_Lever

The lever isn't generic - order a replacement through your dealer.
