2016 SR Problems?
« on: April 13, 2018, 10:51:17 AM »

So, I'm looking at a used 2016 ZF 13.0. $10 K, with 5K miles. Looks clean in pictures, haven't seen it in person yet. With all the shit I've had with my 2015 FX 5.7 i'm leery about another Zero, but, this is a different motor, controller...heck everything. So... how is the owner experience out there on this bike?
Thanks .

I have one with over 6500 miles that's been so reliable for my daily commute that I sold my car.

Hey Kenmc_3, I bought mine a year ago as a demo with 600 miles on it; now I have over 8K on it. Just (recently) had one problem; ac/dc converter started going bad so I had no lights/signals/horn. Fortunately, it's still got 4 years of warranty left. AND, I just filed my taxes with form 8936 and have a nice refund coming! Anyway, my car and 750 Shadow stay in the garage on the trickle charger. I love my magic carpet!

Sorry to see your DC/DC converter is going bad. I just paid $860.00 to have mine replaced on my 2015 FX. Zero said it is my fault. I could have changed it myself, but the dealer gave me the impression that Zero would possibly cover some of it since they approved them to look at the problem. I could have bought the same unit as factory installed for under $250.00. If I were you I would get an after market unit.
